Ali Kurr is an award winning writer and director based in London. She cut her teeth making music videos while studying at the prestigious Courtauld Institute of Art where she was awarded a First Class prize for Best British Art for her final year work. With a background in fine art, her work marries poetic cinematography with naturalistic performances to create heightened realities. Recently, she won the title of Emerging Brit 2018 from the prestigious National Youth Film Academy. Kurr is in preproduction for her first TV show that will be released summer 2019 following the success of her first short film Sparrow, which was created alongside Bafta nominated producer Sorcha Bacon.
