Benjamin seroussi has been working as a creative filmmaker since the early 2000s. after studying at the ucla film school, he returned to paris and launched his career making music videos before branching out into fashion and experimental films. frequent collaborations with leading designers, cinematographers, choreographers, and musicians provide the backbone of seroussi’s multidisciplinary approach. the exploration of new formats and processes is also central to his work. he has a passion for both current and obsolete technologies and often creates his own filming tools; by using creative manual techniques during shooting as well as experimental effects in post-production, he infuses his work with a timeless analog feel that distinguishes it from today’s digital media climate. after more than a decade of directing and producing short films and videos, both as art projects and for commercial clients, serrousi’s current focus is on feature filmmaking.
