Fx Goby is an Emmy award nominated filmmaker with a love for stories and craft both in live action and animation.
To create his cinematic style, Fx goes to his artistic roots, with an emphasis on drawing, photography and the work of classic film masters. His eclectic body of work shows a love for storytelling whatever the form may be, from books to short films, animation to live action, installations to documentaries, music videos to VR projects.
He received international acclaim with an Emmy Award and three Annie Awards nominations for Back To The Moon, a sweet animated tribute to George Melies in VR and AR. It was featured worldwide on the Google homepage as a Doodle and received over 200 million views in 24hrs. His animated adaptation of Jack London’s To Build a Fire novel has garnered dozens of awards and qualified for the Oscars and Baftas in 2017.
Over the years he has created a colourful palette of films for clients such as The International Olympic Committee, Nowness, Manchester International Festival, France television, Coca Cola, Volkswagen, Google...
In three feature documentaries he portrayed the Queen’s husband Prince Philip, the mayor of London Sadiq Khan and the life changing impact of same sex marriage in an intimate portrait of 4 LGBTQ+ couples.
Amongst his commissioned projects, Fx is now working on a live action feature, a live action short and a short animated comedy series.
