Hailing from the Isle of Mull in Scotland, Gemma Lee began her professional career in Australia after studying writing and directing at The Victoria College of the Arts film school in Melbourne. Her short film, The Wake, was voted “Best of the Fest” at the Palm Springs International Shortfest and screened at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2010 and again in 2013.

Since then, Lee has worked with such agencies as McCann, Ogilvy, and George Patterson Y&R in Australia for clients including Hyundai, Powerbeats, Palmolive, and Tourism Tasmania. She was featured as a female director to watch in The Huffington Post in 2015.
