Karim Huu Do is a filmmaker born from a Moroccan mother and a Vietnamese father, raised in Switzerland. This mix of backgrounds and cultures has constantly pushed Karim's mindset to always work outside the boundaries.
After two years at college studying visual communication, Karim was part of a collective called “Fortune" and collaborated on fashion, photography, music videos and magazine projects. Karim’s talent was soon recognized in music videos, fashion films and commercials where he won an EDI, a gold Epica and a UKMVA award.
His work includes a short film for the music collective Last Night In Paris in London, a short film for the release of Drake’s Album “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late”, a global campaign for adidas featuring Pharrell, Rita Ora, David Beckham, and Damian Lillard which grabbed both a Bronze Cannes Lions and AICP award, and a music video for The Shoes new album, which received a D&AD wood pencil award for cinematography. Most recently, Karim has put out the moving “Perfect Isn’t Pretty’’ Gillette Olympics spot, highlighting the journeys of top Olympian athletes, and a project for the adidas Originals x Alexander Wang collaboration.
Karim has additionally been the recipient of Clio and D&AD awards, was shortlisted as New Director of the Year by Shots, and featured in Dazed Magazine as one of the top new creatives in the world.
