Rachel Zhou has been working as a writer/director over 8 years. She was originally born in China. 

At the age of 18, she published her first book The Unfinished Song, which became widely exposed in China. With 1st Prize Scholarship for Excellent Academic Performance (top 5%), she graduated with honors from Zhejiang University, which is the top 3 university in China. She gained her Master’s Degree from Art Center College of Design as a film major. Besides feature films and short films, she has also directed commercials and music videos in Los Angeles. In the last 2 years, she has won over 60 awards from international film festivals in North America, Europe, China etc. She speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese and German.
