There’s a theory that your style is the way that you make mistakes in ways that only you can make them. We developed our style by doing things wrong in ways that felt right. In fact, the company was started on accident.

It was 2009, and we wanted to make apps. To introduce our first app to market, we made a fun video unlike the app world had seen. When that video got more attention than the app did, we realized we might be on to something.

And as much as the company evolved with the changing landscape, the original intention hasn’t changed: we want people to learn new ideas, to remember them, and to do something good with what they learn.
