COMEDY. VISUAL STORYTELLING. CELEBRITY. ACTION.
Timothy Kendall’s work is nothing to brag about. You may be thinking this is some sort of reverse psychology trick and you are absolutely right.
Timothy Kendall is most known for his entertainment-driven, often surreal and playful style of filmmaking, while his grounded and thoughtful approach to each story keeps him current in many genres. His directing style showcases a combination of big storytelling and smart comedy with a strength in capturing subtle performances in fun situations. A skill that's invaluable when working with celebrities, athletes, and influencers… It also helps that he doesn't know who any of them are.
Kendall grew up in Arizona making “epic action movies” with the neighborhood kids. Yet that was just an excuse to play with fireworks. Much later he attended Art Center College of Design where he learned the valuable lesson of paying back heavy student loans. After a short stint editing commercials and independent films, Kendall began directing television commercials for major brands.
Normally this is the part of the bio where you’re given an overwhelmingly pretentious list of accolades and awards. We won’t do that. Yet maybe we just mention that a lot of people appreciate his work? You know... people like Cannes, Clios, ADDY, AICP, etc. ...for big brands like Honda, Samsung, Toyota, Geico, Dr. Pepper, Chevy, Microsoft, ESPN, BMW... Darn, I did it.
His background in commercials has proven a gateway to narrative storytelling that has blossomed into TV pilots, episodic television, and feature films.

His handiwork graced Super Bowl LIII with a spot from PLANTERS starring Charlie Sheen and Alex Rodriguez and a spot for SKECHERS starring Tony Romo. Super Bowl LV saw a fresh spot for DEXCOM featuring Nick Jonas.
Timothy lives in South Pasadena, California with his wife, daughter, and son. But no dog and no picket fence. It's not that perfect, okay?
In his free time, Timothy wonders if anyone really reads bios.
